Application & Cost

Micro Terrazzo^® can be used in epoxy Terrazzo^® floors and precast Terrazzo^® applications. Higher costs are associated with Micro Terrazzo^® due to material and labor. Micro Terrazzo^® requires more effort by the manufacturer to crush the aggregate to a finer size. It also requires a qualified Terrazzo^® contractor to create successful outcomes.

Sample Details & Ordering

Terrazzo^® samples are made in 6″x6″ size format and 3/8″ thick, the standard thickness for poured-in-place epoxy Terrazzo^® systems. Samples are free to the architectural and design community. How many Terrazzo^® samples can I request?

We would be delighted to accommodate your sample requests based on your project needs. Due to the high demand and time required to produce samples, we recommend limiting the number of samples requested to 3 designs. If you require more samples for your project, please discuss your project needs with a representative.

Do you offer a full set for each collection of samples?

We have several sample series available on our website. Rather than offering boxed sets for each collection, we allow you to choose individual samples based on your preferences. Simply browse through our sample series, select the ones you’re interested in, and we’ll be glad to send them to you.

Are there performance issues with using smaller aggregates?

Using small aggregates in Terrazzo^® typically does not pose any performance issues. If using #0 or finer aggregates, the NTMA generally recommends a maximum of 50 percent in the Terrazzo^® mix design.

However, we highly recommend engaging the services of a qualified Terrazzo^® installer to ensure proper installation. Additionally, it is advisable to limit the use of micro Terrazzo^® on larger projects to achieve the best results.
